The sky was hazy as I heard the familiar sound of the mail truck coming up the hill. I turned just in time to see the truck stop in front of the box and deposit a bundle of envelopes. But I definitely saw it – the glimmer of a manila envelope. It was here, IT WAS HERE!

I sat down at the bar and slowly began peeling the cellophane from the case.

It was a lovely shade of light teal with script-like lettering at the top, a photo of a middle-aged woman and her elderly mother smiling at me. Turning it over I scanned the description on the back and marveled at the UPC code. Wow. This is real.
